I’m sorry – Ovenomo Erube

I know I had done wrong
And it has lasted too long
I have caused you so much tears
And it has increased your fears
I intensified your pain
As though being punished with a cane
I caused you depression
Putting you in a state of confusion
I betrayed the trust you had for me
Giving you a reason to despise me
I loosened the bond between us
Even worse than vander waals’
I left you when you needed me most
Like a metal pipe left to rust
I said the wrong words
Even when I knew it hurts
I made you a subject of scorn
Cos I’d soon forgotten we are one
I am here to plead your mercy
Believe me dearie, I’m sorry…

Parenthood

Honoring your parent is a commandment that every child should never
forget to obey. As a juvenile, I was Privileged to wear the shoes my parents
have been wearing their whole life, for just a week and the experience was
overwhelming. I felt the pain in my feet, like a lady wearing a heel for the
first time. What a sacrifice they have been making to wear those shoes!
Hmm, it is indeed an uneasy task aimed at fulfilling the desired dreams
for their children, the future leaders. While some parents take the responsibility
bestowed on them by God to an extra mile, others cannot afford the sacrifice,
for their children because of some circumstances beyond their control.
I write this to all parents who are giving their best to their children and to
those finding it hard out are trying to, I say kudos and keep flourishing.
To the children, let us make the parenting job easy for our parents and
guidance, because as the clock ticks, we are getting close to becoming parents.

For Love – Ovenomo Erube

You go on your knees
With eyes full of tearful pleas
You lose strength
Giving your last breath
You quarrel with friends
Forgetting you’ll need them when it bends
You disobey your parents
Falling into love net
You go against your will
To sweeten the pills
You hate your advisers
Because they were only putting you wise
You break all protocols
Without considering the cost
You change your principles
To fit the new rule
You change your belief
You create a sense of relieve
You forgive easily
To end the quarrel peacefully
You struggle to make ends meet
In the midst of the heat
You close your eyes to the flaw
Thinking it’s the rule of love
You share your most hidden secrets
As though you’re with a catholic priest
You practice self-giving
Making life more interesting
And then you lose blood
Oh my good Lord!!!

Proclaim your feelings

Two love birds bound together by their feelings for each other in hearts but are miles away. They want and long for each other all day but lie to themselves saying; their friendship is platonic. she has sent him all the right signals and she’s expecting him to say it all but Sam isn’t responding to the signals at all because he fears that he’s not worth her, she’s not in his class and he’ll be rejected.
What a world? What a love? They feel for each other, she’s expecting him to speak but he is being scared of her… To my dear readers, if you love someone, summon your courage and walk up to the person and proclaim your feelings. The least that can happen is they’ll tell you if they are interested or not. So have fun and Love up.
